Survival is one of the game modes in BallisticNG. The player must survive for as long as possible as their ship automatically accelerates to breakneck speeds, avoiding collisions with the track's walls. The game ends when the player's ship is destroyed from prolonged wall contact.
Online leaderboard support was added for Survival in v1.03.
virtual environment[edit | edit source]
In Survival mode, all track and scenery textures are replaced with a colour scheme that corresponds to the speed class the player is currently in. There is a music visualizer on the track surface; as with the colours, its appearance differs by speed class.
Should the standard Survival ship's energy fall below 26%, its lights will flash between white and red (as opposed to just glowing white).
