{{HeaderNormal|HEADER=description}}Dover begins with a sweeping 180° turn after the starting grid, before a large jump. A shallow left-hand turn after the jump leads into a tight slalom (where a good racing line is absolutely necessary). Following the slalom is a right turn that empties out onto the long, banked back straight ''(pictured above)'', and another right turn after that precedes a section with erratic elevation changes. To be able to barrel roll here requires a turbo (or good pitch management). After this, another straight leads into two leftward loops; when pilots exit the loops, they should prepare their racing line for the hairpin that follows. Exiting the hairpin has the pilot navigate a slight right, a jump, and another slight right back onto the home straight. The pit lane entrance branches out from the left of that last shallow right turn.

Arrow History

Winding through the thriving city of Dover, Great Britain’s prized AGL circuit seeks to highlight the country’s rich history while simultaneously showcasing its modern development. Completed in 2147, the Dover circuit gives pilots and spectators great views of the city’s brand new railway station, the underground entertainment district, and the scenic Dover Castle.

Arrow track evolution

Dover served as a replacement to an unused track in the game's early development stages called Kahawai (later Maceno) Bay. Set on a fictional Hawaiian island in the pacific, it was to be one of the more tricky courses in the game: early designs include an incredibly long layout such that two pit lanes had to be created to accommodate the track's considerable length and a layout that notably featured a jump zone with the normal route located between two short landing pads (either of which must be landed on to unlock an achievement related to the pads).

Due to updates made to the TRM track layout system over time, Maceno Bay underwent a revision in the 0.6 build in order to comply with said updates. The new layout featured in 0.6 originally had no scenery, reused the (later scrapped) prototype tracks' aesthetics as placeholder textures, and went by the placeholder name of "Track 08".

The release of 0.7 saw Maceno Bay completely shelved and was replaced by a track simply called Dover, set at the town it was eponymously named after in Kent County, South East England.
