BallisticNG allows players to use their own custom sounds within the game.

Arrow using a soundpack

All sounds within a soundpack must be of the WAV file type and located in a folder within <Steam installation directory>\Steam\steamapps\common\BallisticNG\UserData\MySounds. To configure the soundpack in-game, go to Config -> Audio -> Mods, enable custom sounds, and scroll through the soundpack section to choose your soundpack.

Arrow file names

All sounds within a soundpack must have the exact file name as shown. A filename reference is also included under the Mod tab in the main menu.

airbrake SFX Played upon airbrake deployment.
apex Survival Announces when the Apex speed class has been reached in Survival.
autopilot Pickup Announces when the autopilot item has been picked up.
autopilotcalculating SFX Plays when the autopilot is active.
beepcountdown Race Event A countdown beep played three times. Configure whether this is used instead of the voiced countdown in Config -> Gameplay under the main or pause menus.
beepgo Race Event A "go" beep used in place of the "go" announcement. Configure whether this is used instead of the voice in in Config -> Gameplay under the main or pause menus.
bronzemedal Race Event Announces when the player has been awarded a bronze medal.
bulletimpact SFX Plays when a ship is hit by cannon rounds.
cannon Pickup Announces when the cannon item has been picked up.
cannonfire SFX Plays when the cannon is fired.
checkpoint Race Event Plays when the player has crossed the track's midway line.
cockpitrain Ambient Raindrops landing on the canopy.
crowd Ambient Cheering crowd.
disengaged Pickup Announces the deactivation of the autopilot.
droid SFX The rescue droid's engine sound.
dropweapon SFX Plays when the player drops a weapon.
eliminated Race Event Announces the elimination of a contender, be it the player or an opponent.
energywall Pickup Announces when the energy wall item has been picked up.
energywallfire SFX Plays when an energy wall is deployed.
engaged Pickup Announces the activation of the autopilot.
engine SFX A looping engine sound that overrides any engine sounds used by standard or custom ships.
engineBike SFX The AG Bike's engine sound.
enginecockpit SFX The muffled engine sound as heard from within the cockpit.
epack Pickup Announces when the e-pack item has been picked up.
epackuse SFX Plays when the e-pack is used.
finallap Race Event Announces the final lap.
go Race Event The "go" announcement. Configure whether this is used instead of the beeps in in Config -> Gameplay under the main or pause menus.
goldmedal Race Event Announces when the player has been awarded a gold medal.
halberd Survival Announces when the Halberd speed class has been reached in Survival.
hellstorm Pickup Announces when the hellstorm item has been picked up.
hitwall SFX Plays when a ship bumps a wall (as opposed to scraping against it).
hunter Pickup Announces when the hunter item has been picked up.
hyperzen Survival Announces when the Hyper Zen speed class has been reached in Survival.
knockoutwarning Warning An alarm sound that repeats when the player is in danger of being knocked out.
levelupswoosh Menu Plays when the player has levelled up.
lockonbeep SFX Plays when the missile acquires a target.
mach1 Survival Announces when the Mach 1 speed class has been reached in Survival.
mach1_5 Survival Announces when the Mach 1.5 speed class has been reached in Survival.
mach2 Survival Announces when the Mach 2 speed class has been reached in Survival.
mach2_5 Survival Announces when the Mach 2.5 speed class has been reached in Survival.
mach3 Survival Announces when the Mach 3 speed class has been reached in Survival.
magenter SFX Plays when the player's ship enters a maglock section.
magexit SFX Plays when the player's ship exits a maglock section.
maglock Ambient A background hum that occurs while the player's ship is in a maglock section.
minedrop SFX Plays with each mine dropped.
mineexplode SFX Plays when a mine or missile explodes.
mines Pickup Announces when the mines item has been picked up.
missile Pickup Announces when the missile item has been picked up.
missilefire SFX Plays when a missile is launched.
move Menu Plays when the menu selection changes.

perfectlap Race Event Announces a perfect lap.

plasma Pickup Announces when the plasma item has been picked up.
plasmafire SFX Plays when a plasma bolt is fired.
plasmaimpact SFX Plays when a ship is hit by a plasma bolt.
platinummedal Race Event Announces when the player has been awarded a platinum medal.
rain Ambient Rainfall on the track and scenery.
rocketfire SFX Plays when rockets are launched.
rockets Pickup Announces when the rockets item has been picked up.
roll SFX Plays when the player executes a barrel roll.
scrape SFX Loops when a ship scrapes against a wall.
sessioncomplete Race Event Announces the completion of the current event.
shield Pickup Announces when the shield item has been picked up.
shieldambient Ambient The hum of the shield when it is active.
shieldhit SFX Plays when a shielded ship bumps a wall or ship.
shieldlow Warning Alerts the player when their craft's shield energy falls below 25%.
shieldscrape SFX Plays when a ship with the shield active scrapes against a wall.
sideshift SFX Plays when the player executes a sideshift.
silvermedal Race Event Announces when the player has been awarded a silver medal.
sonicboom SFX Plays when the player breaks the sonic barrier.
sonicexit SFX Plays when the player exits sonic or supersonic speeds.
spectre Survival Announces when the Spectre speed class has been reached in Survival.
speedpush SFX Plays when a ship passes over a speed pad in 2280 mode.
spray SFX Plays when a ship passes over a wet area.
startboost SFX Plays upon a successful start boost.
swoosh SFX Plays when a ship passes over a section flagged "swooshable".

toxic Survival Announces when the Apex speed class has been reached in Survival.
transferbeam Pickup Announces when the transfer beam item has been picked up.

tremor Pickup Announces when the tremor item has been picked up.

turbo Pickup Announces when the turbo item has been picked up.
turbofire SFX Plays when a turbo is fired, either from the turbo item or a successful barrel roll.

warning Warning A general weapon warning. Configure whether this is used instead of the individual weapon names in Config -> Gameplay under the main or pause menus.

Warning A warning that announces the name of the weapon about to be used. Configure whether these are used instead of the general warning in Config -> Gameplay under the main or pause menus.
zen Survival Announces when the Zen speed class has been reached in Survival.
